Hey guys,

i got the following problem. I want my script to do something, while i press a key. The thing is, that i want it to do it for like 1000 ms and then stop doing it, independently from me still pressing the key.

like the following timelines.

Pressing the key
<------------------------------->

Script doing stuff

<------>

After releasing the key and pressing it again, it needs to do the exact same thing, work for about 1000 ms and then stop.

I played around with do-until and a $count but i just can't make it like i want it to work. I would be pleased if you guys could help me out.

Have a nice day!

What exactly do you need your script to do for so short a time?

Thanks for your fast reply.

Well i want a button to be pressed for about a second while i press and hold the other button.

You're missing the point of the question. What is the script doing when you press buttons, or what are you trying to accomplish? There may be easier ways to do this.

I try to use this script for a small old game of mine. For charging up a skill i need to press and hold a button. While the first second of charging the skill the character gets pushed in one direction and therefor i want the counterbutton for moving against the push to be pressed for the time the character gets pushed. But i need to hold the charging button longer then the timeperiod of pushing.

It is more or less just me playing around.

No i didn't miss your modstatus but i actually don't know what your status has to do with my question.
If i did anything wrong, please tell me. I read the rules and i think i didn't break any of them, did i?

Thank you very much for the answers.

Welcome to the AutoIt forum.

Unfortunately you appear to have missed the Forum rules on your way in. Please read them now - particularly the bit about not discussing game automation - and then you will understand why you will get no help and this thread will now be locked.

See you soon with a legitimate question I hope.
