SciTe does not change file date when saving? (SOLVED - USER ERROR)

Probably I'm missing something obvious, but (on my system) the SciTe editor does not stamp my .au3 files with the current date when it saves them. So files that I have been editing for four years still show a 2017 date in Windows Explorer.

I've looked for a setting that will change this behavior, but can't find it. I will be grateful for any help.

This is not something SciTE does, as that just does a save of the file's content.
Are you sure you are checking the "Modification Date" or are you looking at the "Creation Date"?

You're right - my Explorer settings for that folder were showing the wrong thing. Apologies for wasting bandwidth!
