(for example: using .au3 to encrypt/decrypt non-script information) but i am unsure on how to (in a simple way) encrypt/decrypt a program file that a device can still read and execute.. could someone please be kind enough to share information on how to encrypt/decrypt a program?Encrypt/Decrypt to hide personal information within the software..

It gives me the power to draw HTML reports, including SVG images and scalable content. All you have to do is display the .html file. As to your original question about decrypting executables? The use of Html (depending on the task) can allow a very flexible implementation. Another approach would be e.g. the use of the Excel UDF from @water.
