mr-es335 Posted September 12, 2023 Posted September 12, 2023 (edited) Good day, For some time now, I was having major issues with Widows Titles paths - changing from [Folder_Name] to [C:\Folder_Name]...without any understanding of how-or-why this anomaly was occurring...at least until now!! When it comes to OS installations, I have always been "extremely particular" in how software is installed on the host system. As I am involved in live digital audio performance, my systems have to be able to perform optimally. Thus, I do what i am able to see that any-and-all software is able to installed in a "portable manner". The more I know about how and what is being affected during an install, the more prepared I can be when a situation arises. Windows XP was vastly superior when it comes to such installations...and I do what I am able to replicate that environment. Thus, to the situation at hand... My installations navigate through a number of "stages" - 8 in all. One of these stages updates the "Folder Options" – wherein "Display the full path in the title bar" is enabled...and "low-and-behold" - problem solved. The long-and-short of all of this is, prescient knowledge is indeed...a powerful thing! PS: I hope that this information will be of assistance to those that may have come across a similar situation? Solution Guest Posted September 12, 2023 Solution Posted September 12, 2023 Good that you found a solution for your problem . However, why do you start a new thread for it and not use the existing one? @Jos : In case you share my point of view, could you please merge them.
mr-es335 Posted September 12, 2023 Author Posted September 12, 2023 Musashi, Gosh....without sounding too "crass"..."...'cause i thought it appropriate!" I wish that I would have had something "specific" during my search here on this forum for this particular issue. I do hope that this makes sense? mr-es335 Sentinel Music Studios

Of course, it makes sense to share new findings with others, who may be looking for a solution to this particular problem . My comment merely referred to the fact, that your newfound insight would probably be better served in the original thread.
