I’m aware of the thread discussing the UPX fingerprint in AutoIt, which can trigger false positives. Please don’t get upset, but I wanted to ask if there’s a way to create a normal .exe—not .ex3 or any unusual extension—that doesn’t generate false positives.

I’d prefer to avoid contacting every antivirus vendor to whitelist my program. Imagine telling users, “Sorry, your antivirus flagged my program as a virus.” Most normal users would just ignore it or uninstall it, which isn’t ideal.

So I wanted to know if there’s a method to prevent this—without changing the programming language. Perhaps buying a cleaner packer, or some other professional solution? I’m open to suggestions.

MoriceGrene,

If there was a way to do this, do you not think it would be at the top of every section of the forum? Alas, the answer is "no".
