adding to a variable

Hello, how do I add to a variable? Thanks.

example:

global $k=12, $j = 1

$i=3

while $j<=$i

do something with $k

k + 12

j + 1

wend

$k = $k + 12

$j = $j + 1

this is the easiest way i can think of for beginners

In Beta:

$k += 12

$j += 1

In released:

$k = $k + 12

$j = $j + 1

Notice that they have the '$' in front of what I am using as a 'Variable'

ok, thanks. I've tried various.... $k+=12 and $k=+12....like c++. Thanks.
