runasset and Access denied

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a little script to allow limited users to execute a programm during startup with administrator rights. Therefor I use the runasset. The script does not work after a reboot. I have the message "Access denied". The user has a autologon account. If I log off and log on again the script works perfect. Whats wrong?

Regards

Can't say for sure without knowing more about your script, but the most likely cause is that the script is saved at a location on the local machine that the limited user doesn't have access to, or the user doesn't have working access to the working directory of the script.

Please verify that the user can access the folders in question. If that doesn't fix matters you'll need to post your script (or a simplified version thereof) for more assistance...

Yes yes yes, there it was. Youth must go, ah yes. But youth is only being in a way like it might be an animal. No, it is not just being an animal so much as being like one of these malenky toys you viddy being sold in the streets, like little chellovecks made out of tin and with a spring inside and then a winding handle on the outside and you wind it up grrr grrr grrr and off it itties, like walking, O my brothers. But it itties in a straight line and bangs straight into things bang bang and it cannot help what it is doing. Being young is like being like one of these malenky machines.

Thank you DaveF.

I found out why the Script didn't work. I used the run command without a work directory. After I added a work directory everything works as expected.
