GEOSoft
Does anyone know the best way to test if there is an active internet connection? I mean besides pinging a known site. Their server might be down which would result in a timeout anyway. Also (just out of curiosity), has anyone tried running a FileFindFirstFile / FileFindNextFile against an IP address? herewasplato
http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.ph...indpost&p=58239Edit: If this indicates no connection and you fear that the server might be down just run it again against another site. Loop thru as many sites as you wish - if you have an internet connection and all of the sites of interest are down (perhaps Calif fell into... ) then what good is your connection? That method is pretty much the same as using ping and I would also have to check for the default browser (it might not be IE) but the last post in that thread from Larry looks very promising. I think I can work with that. George Question about decompiling code?
