Fargo
I want to download small text files from the Internet and put contents of each file into a variable. I tried InetGet without passing the optional filename parameter to it. I thought by doing this, I'd get the downloaded file content by return, but I was wrong. So, where does InetGet save the file when no filename is given to it?! Thank you.
BPBNA
The file name is not optional, only whether to overwrite it and to pause the script while it downloads. The ones in the [] are optional, the others are not. InetGet ( "URL", "filename" [, reload [, background]] )

Fargo
Believe it or not, I have ver.3.1.1.132 and here how it looks like: InetGet ( "URL" [,"filename" [, reload [, background]]] ) I even run a test code without filename and it did not complain. BPBNA
Hmm, your right(my help file was out of date ). I'm not sure. It isnt very well documented, there is nothing in the remarks for this. I will do a few tests to see.
BPBNA
Seems like if I run it without the filename it just doesn't run... although @error is set to

Valik
The filename is not optional unless you use "abort" for the URL. If you are trying to download a file, you must specify a filename to download to.
