peethebee Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 Hi! A short question. I atm try to code a function which limits the text in a Input to a string fullfilling a RegExp. The functions to parse will hopefully work. But I did not find a way to get the message win sends when the user changes the text of this Input. I work in OnEventMode. Any sample and help would be highly appreciated. peethebee vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvGerman Forums: http://www.autoit.deGerman Help File: http://autoit.de/hilfe vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
Valuater Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 (edited) i dont under stand your question completely... ie, how you are defining the length of the input however.. this may help GUICtrlSetLimit Limits the number of characters/pixels for a control. GUICtrlSetLimit ( controlID, max [, min] ) Parameters controlID The control identifier (controlID) as returned by a a href="."/guiref/GUICtrlCreate.htm">GUICtrlCreate... function. max For List controls it is the extent you can scroll horizontally in pixels. For Input/Edit controls it is the max number of characters that can be entered. 8) Edited August 26, 2006 by Valuater
