Mouse Automation on Remote Desktop

I have writen a script with Autoit, which does the following....

It periodically goes over a notepad icon on the dektop and double clicks/opens it.

If i compile this script, and put it on a pc, which i control over remote desktop,

as long as i stay connected with Remote Desktop everything works finde.

But if i leave remote desktop, the mouse automation doesn't seem to works any more.

Obviously, the mouse does not exist without a desktop, whereas other applications which i run remotly continue to run.

Has someone a workaround for this problem?
