Try microsoft support, not autoit. an HTA is an HTML Application, not an autoit program or script. To my knowledge you don't and can't have an HTA create or use a status bar.

Who else would I be?

You're right

All the research I did showed how to make fake ones but you had to specify the statusbar info

Going back to IE and play with it. I already have a faster way to find a textbox on a webpage thanks to the status bar and the clipboard
