Getting text off a GUI

Does anyone have any ideas how this could be done with AutoIt?

One thing to mention is that the letters are all white on a grey, green, red or blue background.

I'm trying to do this to read what card is dealt on a poker game.

I haven't been able to put much thought into this yet seeing how I just got the idea to do this earlier tonight, but if anyone has ever thought about doing this or tryed it, a brief overview of how it was done or the general idea would be nice.

Do you have the code you could post for us to see?

If the cards are images you can not read it... though you may be able to do some pixelcheck... look at the function list for more description
