Lemures
I am attempting to make a script that will monitor the log in real time on the Daemon application (www.bf2cc.com) for the BF2 Command & Control program. The only way I have found to do this is to use ControlGetText to get the text out of the onscreen control. However, I am afraid that after hours of play, the log will be HUGE. Is there any way around this? Or will this not prove to be detrimental to the programs ability to run.
Moderators SmOke_N Posted January 17, 2007 Moderators Share Posted January 17, 2007 I generally set the Text null after I've read it on apps that I'm going to be getting information from for a period of time. $sText = ControlGetText('Win', '', 'ID') ;FileWrite('Keeptrack.log', $sText) ControlSetText('Win', '', 'ID', '') Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
