Help me with TCP/UDP

ahum, well i have NO CLUE about TCP and UDP, i've looked everywhere but still, they say some brabbling stuff that i can't understand.

I've read that UDP is for networking and TCP for internet.

I've tried to connect with an other pc but it didn't work at all!!!

could anyone give me some information to create an UDP connection?

i mean, how it works, what needs to be set up first, what is a sucket or something xD
