Uninstall Strings are my ENEMY!

Recommended Posts

I am trying to execute a uninstall string found in the registry:

C:\UCCLIE~1\UNWISE.EXE C:\UCCLIE\INSTALL.LOG

Above is the exact command that is found for the application. I verify the directories are there, and it looks good. I would like to execute it like this.

C:\UCCLIE~1\UNWISE.EXE /s C:\UCCLIE\INSTALL.LOG

Adding a /s switch to it. However, with or without the switch I cannot execute it. I get an error saying: " ==> Unable to execute the external program.: The directory name is invalid"

I can open up and command prompt, and enter in either command, and it executes fine. Any ideas? Below are the ways I have tried running it.

$uninstallstring = 'C:\UCCLIE~1\UNWISE.EXE C:\UCCLIE\INSTALL.LOG'oÝ÷ Ù«¢+Ø)IÕ¹]¥Ð¡

Can't get any of these to work. Help please!
