My computer teacher said there were some people changing certain settings on the computers, and he asked if I could write a program that disables them whenever the user 'student' logs on... I know how to disable controls, but can I do it without that window being open? Just certain checkboxes and such that change windows properties. Thanks...

Depending on what settings you want to lock out, most things can be tweaked through the registry. Just do a read/write on the correct registry entries. May also want to look into group policies for the workstations. You can lock down a lot of stuff that way also.

Hope this helps!
