Bob Wya Posted May 25, 2007 Share Posted May 25, 2007 Hi I am trying to control a block of 4 DVD RAM drives using an AutoIt. However I am not clear how I can tell if a drive drawer is closed or open. An empty CD drive just gives drive status 'NOT READY' for both - using the DriveStatus() function. Also I was hoping to use the CDRecord (Cygwin port) bus scan function to give more info about the connected drives and detect+ignore virtual drives (e.g. Daemon Tools, etc.). Can't figure out how to get back from the SCSI ID's to stupid Windows drive letters. Maybe we could have some more DVD drive support in AutoIt (e.g. model name and manufacturer would nice!!). It will take me a while to digest all of that. I presume I could send arbitary ADAPTI commands using those DLLs?? Maybe to get drive manufacturing info and such...
