need a Trial period for script

Hello! I'm trying to think of a way to impliment a trial period (of 2 days) on a au3 program, that is as secure as possible. For the moment, the only ways i can think of are storing values in the registery or storing values in an ini file (like a timestamp of when the trial began). My worry is that if someone were to find these values, they could reset them and the trial would begin from the start, or maybe they could tinker with the timer on their machine where the current time is read. suggestions please anybody.
