steve8tch Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 The subject of a Tail utility using AutoIT crops up from time to time. Here is an attempt to do this. I works pretty well on our Lan and over VPN from home. Give it a go - please feel free to modify and improve. I have also attached TailRW - a UDF origianlly written by Larry The AutoIT_tail.au3 script contains loads of rambling comments , someone out there must know of better ways of doing some of the functions - please let me know. Obi-w00t Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 I get an error saying "directory does not exist". Also I am a little confused as to what this program actually does - is it like a Unix tail -f command (described here).
Richard Robertson Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Looking at the giant comment block at the top, it looks like it keeps files congruent between two workstations by sending updates when they are changed. A useful script for anyone who uses more than one computer.
