Any hint how can I do that? I want to have links on the desktop just like in the picture. Is that possible and what should I look up in the Help? Thanks for any advice.

Yes! That is possible. If I were doing it, I would use this fantastic script written by Larry the creates floating text just like that. Here's the link:
