easy way to get local ip address

hi all,

i am bulding a moduler system that changes based on the number in the last range of the local ip, 0-255.

while i could use run(ipconfig) and somehow extract the relevent string, i hope there is an easier way.

the system has a single network card.

thankx, and hiope im not missing the obvious. (getip is already taken)
