GioVit Posted September 14, 2007 Posted September 14, 2007 I have 2 laptops, one with windows xp media center an the other with Windows vista premium, and I want to use both to connect with my company LAN (specifically with the server wich is running windows server 2003) and also want to connect to my wireless home computers (one with windows media center OS and the other with windows XP professional). I've made a script that use functions Ping() and _GetComputerName() to connect to each computer and DriveMapAdd() to connect ot a remote resource, but I want to know if there is a more efficient or generic way to detect the domain or workgroup of the net where you are connected via wireless or ethernet, then get the computers that are connected and get the resources that each computer shares. And the most important thing is that it works on any windows version. Sorry if I ask too much but I Network or wireless conection is not my speciality. thanks in advance
