editing memory

is there anyway to edit the memory of a program using autoit? such as maybe you edit the script and put in the process name then you put in the address then what you want to change the value to and then whether or not to freeze the value. anyone know if this is possible or any ideas on where i could look to get started?

EDIT: Well i found Wouter's mem functions but i dont understand how to use it anyone know how it works?
