DW1
Is there a way to take a screenshot of a window that is not in view? I was using a script from the forums that would obtain a bmp or jpg, but I don't know how to make a bmp or jpg of a window that the user cannot see. I was messing around with a flash game collector and would like to incorporate screen shots of the games, but I don't want the user to have to open the game or see it open before they can see the screen shot. Any ideas? AutoIt3 Online Help
BigDod
If a window is hidden or not open it has no screen to take a screenshot off. Time you enjoyed wasting is not wasted time ......T.S. weaponx
Sure... photoshop Well there is the solution. Apparently you can grab a screenshot of the desktop and superimpose a picture of the hidden app later when you find it.

DW1
wow, glad I came back from lunch for such a sweet...... solution(?) LOL so.... A simple no would be fine. Would it be possible to get this effect with the window "visible" but offscreen? Or am I wanting an impossible thing? AutoIt3 Online Help

Zedna
You may try to copy content of hidden window from its DC (device context). Look at Auto3Library for functions for doing this. But I'm not sure if DC of hidden window contains window image or if it's there only in visible windows. Lazycat
If window is minimized, it's not possible to get it's image, looks like if window hidden - too. But if this just behind other windows - this can be done with PrintWindow function. In attach an example of how use it. This was done time ago, it's unfinished, quite raw and messy. Bitmap saving routines are made by eltorro, I'm use them for speedy. Maybe this give you start point.
