JustinReno Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 (edited) I know this has been asked before. The limit of an edit control is 30000 characters, is there anyway to bypass this? Thanks. I'm not sure if Richedit is the way to go (And is not prefered.) Edited December 27, 2007 by JustinReno

I'm not sure if Richedit is the way to go (And is not prefered.)If you use the UDF Edit functions vice the native AutoIt, then you get things like _GUICtrlEdit_SetLimitText(). I don't know if you can create it with the native GuiCtrlCreateEdit(), get the handle with ControlGetHandle, and then set the limit with _GUICtrlEdit_SetLimitText().Perhaps an experiment for you to try? JustinReno Posted December 27, 2007 Author Posted December 27, 2007 Thanks it worked. And you can just use the plain edit control variable to set the limit: $Edit = GUICtrlCreateEdit("", 8, 56, 617, 393) _GUICtrlEdit_SetLimitText($Edit, 100000000)
