Glyph
Is it possible to create a VNC like program in AutoIt? Is AutoIt capable of doing such a thing? I guess you could do a loop look for for mouse positions and sending them through a tcp conenction as packets or something, but that would be using quiote a bit of bandwidth if u were to grab the desktop image and sending click/movemets and keyboard inputs, or would it not be as slow as I think? I am aware this would be a big task, but i'm really look for an alternative to vnc atm as vnc is pretty mainstream and has public vilnerabilities popping up quite often. Also crashes every week or so on my server using Windows Server 2003. So, is it possible, Or just too hard on resource usage? weaponx
What version of VNC are you using thats crashing? I don't think you are going to create something more secure than VNC, especially when there are encryption plugins available.
Glyph
4.1.2.0 is the version I am using currently. And I don't see any other scripts that give access to the desktop like vnc, with a realtime view and mouse movements... weaponx
I can't find many issues with 2003 and RealVNC. I use UltraVNC every day and I think its great. There are encryption plugins available.
