You need to make some attempt to troubleshoot the program. We do not provide fish here. If you want to learn to fish, or having trouble with trying to fish, then we will help.

We will never ask you - "do you want fries with that?"

i want to learn to fish. i never catch anything :)

Sounds to me like you removed Scite from your computer. Aren't the script extensions a part of the basic version of Scite?

i made new notepad pasted that in and called it new script.reg to my dekstop and stll nothing

Did you double click on the file that you created with notepad? That will enter the registry entries into your registry.

Sorry if you did this and knew how to perform this but I had to ask.

Other option is to re-install the app again, that will repair the install if it's still present or just install it once again.

No, save the file as filename.reg. The .reg extension will create an association to allow you to double click that file and make the registry entries that are in the file.

yes i did the reg and it says information in C:\documents and settings\Tom\desktop\new script.reg has been successfully entered into the registery.

and if i click it agen it says the same, or if i right click edit it comes up in notepad or if i right click and open with autiutv3 it comes up with a error

Line 1 (file"C:\documents and settings\Tom\desktop\new script.reg")

ok i just noticed when i save it as au3 it turns into a notepad, but if i call it anything els but not with au3 its just a blank file with no description

that .reg file is not an autoit script file!1 its a registry file..

use it to add context menu option on right click so you have new "AutoIt v3 Script"

do not save it as .au3 file.. it's not a script!!

just double click the .reg file and click yes to save it into registry.. there, you're done!

now put your mouse on empty desktop area and right click, select new and you will see the "Autoit v3 Script" there....

understand?

yes i do but its in a notepad form and i want it in the autoitv3 program like it should be
