Can one use the default Windows AVI using GuiCtrlCreateAvi()?

For example when I copy a file using Windows Explorer, you get an AVI (at least, I assume it is an AVI) and a slightly different one when you move etc. Are these AVI files accessible via AutoIt (and, is that allowed according to the MS licence)? I assume that they are stored in a DLL or something, as a search for *.AVI didn't show them and ResHack of Explorer.exe didn't show them either.
