Knowing if you application is already running

Hello,

I think I have seen this on the forum before but I couldn't find it and did not see it in the help file.

I want to check when my application starts to see if there is an instance of the application already running and if there is an instance I will not start it up.

What function is that based on?

If ProcessExists (@Scriptname) Then ;Script is running.

in autoit go to help and search for _Singleton

then try the example

That only works if the script is compiled.

Very cool.

I plan on using the singleton which is easier for me to implement and requires less process. Probably are places where the other way would be more helpful.
