Hasher Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 HiI am trying to find out how many apps such as 'Network Password Recovery Wizard' and Elmsofts 'Proactive System Password Recovery' retrieve the WPA-PSK AES encrypted key from the registry.I know that its partly stored in 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WZCSVC\Parameters' but it seems to be encrypted against something else in the registryHave searched MSDN and have only found http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms940173.aspx which talks about storing a key with the xml format.I know I cant decrypt a WPA key .....well only method is bruteforcing and that takes years. But thats no what i want to do.Thanks in advance for any helpPaul Firefox's secret is the same as Jessica Simpson's: its effortless, glamorous style is the result of shhh extensions!
James Posted April 30, 2008 Posted April 30, 2008 The key is stored in, HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WZCSVC\Parameters\Interfaces\ That is all I am saying because it could be used in a bad way. Blog - Seriously epic web hosting - Twitter - GitHub - Cachet HQ
