JerryD
OK, before anyone says to use Blat, I know it, love it, use it. None the less, I'd like to be able to send an email without depending on a third party program - and preferably through the OS.That said, when I try to run the script presented here that creates and runs a VBS script, when the VBS script runs I get the error:"Loading script "C:\email.vbs" failed (The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. )."Sure enough, I checked with the sysinternals Handle utility, and the process (both AutoIt3.exe when run without compiling and the program when compiled) had the file open in spite of the FileClose and giving it PLENTY of time (minutes) to release the file. Is this a bug in FileClose? So I tried using the CDO method used in the posting sending E-mail... the best way? Options , but get the error"$Ret = $objEmail.Send$Ret = $objEmail.Send^ ERRORError: The requested action with this object has failed."I searched for other code using CDO.Message and CDO.Configuration objects, have set them as needed for my environment, but always get the above error. Can anyone help with either problem? Thanks.Jerry

DJKMan
lol that's an easy way to solve the problem. XD Now....to solve the problem with this email client. I'm working on a large project (I'll release it once it's complete of course) and I admit I'm a bit new to AutoIt, but I'm a fast learner. Is there a way for AutoIt to use SSL connections or a possible method that would make this email client work on it's own without the use of a server installed on the computer? A simple run and close type of program is the method that I'm trying to achieve. So far it appears that there's no current method to use SSL encryption, unless I missed something. All credits will go to the author of course.
