Guest boydomino
We have successfully employed Autoit for our batch process. The application starts, but is unable to advance when the server is not logged in, (either locally or via remote session). Simple functions which do not require interactivity, (ie: launching notepad) work fine, using Win2K task scheduler. Has anyone successfully run a complex Autoit macro with the server logged out, where window names are required? Thanks,
sugi
There are severall commands that cannot work by design when a script is not running interactive.I guess you're runnning the script as a service so check if the script is allowed to interact with the desktop. If interact with the desktop is disabled, then IIRC AutoIt cannot see other windows. What will never work is Send, Mouse* and the like. But some Win* and Control* commands will work, if the script is allowed to interact with the desktop.BTW, you can find a nice tool to administrate services here, it's called Service Manager NT. It was written for NT4 but there hasn't changed that much in the services infrastructure in Windows. Edited January 5, 2005 by sugi

this-is-me
What was your point in making a post with nothing more than quoting his statement? Who else would I be?
