one more question!

back again... :"> i just need to know if there is a way to read only part of an edit control like, this:

$editcontrol= blablabla

$read= GUICtrlRead ($edit)

print WhatTheUserTypes

is there a way i could just read the 'WhatTheUserTypes' section of it? because if my program reads print, then it will continually just set the datato print non-stop!

@layer: Simply, string's manipulation...You know: try with String*( functions.

ive tried all of them, but most of them i didnt because they are like StringLeft () which isnt what im looking for... maybe i should explain better

| (< blinks) now lets say i type this:
print hey
(i hit enter then "print enter" is displayed again. not what i want, i just want "hey" to be printed again...)

is that good? im really stumped, maybe im just a atard
