time and drop-down list question

hey guys I am new here

I just got a summer internship and have to work with Autoit as part of my summer project to test interfaces on the web

my first question is how can i get the time in seconds to display in notepad or something so i can tell how many seconds have past for each test?

another question is how can i select something out of a drop-down list without doing a mousemove or a mouseclick or is it even possible?
