Damastah
How about a program that searches the net for multiple instances of a file and brings in downloads in parts from each file. This can be pared with another download accelerator to speed up file downloads of transfer speeds limited by distance. E.G: a linux distro located on a server in a far off country. also, the manager should keep track of incomplete downloaded files and continue them if interrupted. Post with any ideas. Airwolf
bittorents only use .torrent files. I'm talking about an everyday file download. So you want to create a program that searches every server in existence on the net for the same filename and downloads it in chunks? That is impossible; it would take an infinite amount of time since there is always a new server coming online. Bittorrent is the closest you'll get.If you're talking about only searching specified servers, there are already download accelerators that do this.
