pressing a joystick button

i have tried using the basic command

Send("{Button 1}")

but this has not worked, is there a way for me to make autoit press a joystick button?

i used a program called JoyToKey, and i have mapped button1 to the letter X, so when i press button 1 it presses X on keyboard

so yer, i don't know how to make it press button 1 on the joystick

If you have it mapped to your "X" key ...

Send("x")

I generally use my thumb to press a button on a joystick.
