I'm trying to create a program that displays who is online (running the same program on the network), I was going for a list box so that you could click on a name (or several names) and perform an action. any suggestions on how to create a list of online people that automatically updates when someone starts or closes the same program? This thing has been eating my brain since yesterday morning.

I would say either have it constantly updating, or make a refresh button.

For those who are asking questions, look in the help file first. I'm tired of people asking stupid questions about how to do things when 10 seconds in the help file could solve their problem.

They already have a punishment system for abuse.
... and his his name is Valik.
www.minikori.com

well, my network chat program LanSync simply writes the user's name to a file on the network which all the other instances of the program can read from, then when someone logs off, it automatically deletes their name off of it too, so the program(s) can just refresh from the file every now and then

eDIT: I don't know if that was your questiong, if you meant how to refresh the list then thats simple:

set a timer (TimerInit()) and somewhere in you GUI's loop(assuming you have one) simply delete all the list's current data, and re-add them to it
