Fidel
Hello, I have a set of jpg files that I want to combine into one big jpg. I imagine that something like this is possible using the GDI+ functionality: a) create a huge bitmap (i'm talking 20,000 pixels by 20,000 pixels) for each jpg I want to combine, draw it on the appropriate spot on the bitmap c) save the bitmap as a jpg Your help would be greatly appreciated Thanks, fidel Edited August 27, 2008 by Fidel
smashly
Have you ever tried opening a 20000x20000 pixel jpg? Not many programs will be able to open it at it true size.. eg: Windows Picture fax viewer will open it, but as soon as you hit show actual size it'll fail to render it. IrfanView will just chew massive amount of memory and in most cases will fail. So what would you use 20000x20000 pixel jpg for? I created a blank (black) jpg at 20000x20000 pixels and it was 5.96 MB opening it causes grief in most cases. If you added colored images to that jpg it would be huge and not user friendly to open or load.
Airwolf
What is your purpose? Maybe we can think of something that will fulfill the purpose without making a ginormous jpeg.
