Modifying an Edit Control

So I am trying to make a script editor similar to Scite, however, I don't know where to start. How do I make an edit control indent every time a user goes to the next line. How do I colorize text, or make the plus and minus buttons on the left?

He says he wants to create a editor similar to scite, not exactly like scite.

If he/she actually does want to create a scilexer control, he should take a look at my SciLexer UDF (signature too ) which is much easier than RazerM's script.
