Moderators SmOke_N Posted September 19, 2008 Moderators Share Posted September 19, 2008 Although the serial very well may be unique. The unfortunate side of it, is that if your program is cloned in a virtual environment, it will not help your cause any (As the information will still be all the same). Something you need to look for is the UUID (Universally Unique Identifier). The only downside to that, is currently only WMI offers a "simple" solution, and it may or may not be active on someones PC to use it. There are alternatives out there (Using Hi/Low Bios times), but I've yet to be able to translate them to an easy format using AutoIt. Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
