I want select file/directory using right click context menu. Please see the attached screen shot

run("explore.exe /select,"& $filepath,"",@SW_MAXSIZE) with this command iam able to select a file using explorer. howver how do i right click and select scan for virus (See attached screen shot). Sometime scan for virus is the third option in the list sometimes 4th item & sometime scan for virus comes as 1st option in the right click context menu option.(depending upon the type of file/directory i have selected).

If anyone know the above please help...?

You're better off just looking at your applications command line parameters and running it from that if you know that's what you want to do. ShellExecute("my virus scan.exe", "command line parameter")

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.

no command line exists for the virus scanner iam using ... (it exists though but that command line scanner is returning MFC errors)

Which virus scanner are you using and what is the command line you're attempting to run?

I'am using Symantec 11 . I did tried vpscan.exe command line scanner but it fails to run .. returns some MFC errors

ya i thought of that option but not sure what exe and with what options it calls when we right click and select "scan for virus"
