DW1 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 send ('"C:\documents and settings\bananas\Desktop\macshift" -i lol') all about single or double quotes. AutoIt3 Online Help
Pain Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Use both single and double quotation. This will send "hello world" with quotation marks. Send('"hello world"')
Glyph Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Double it up. msgbox(0,"","""test""") tolle indicium
LarryDalooza Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 You are all correct... Isn't AutoIt smart? Lar. AutoIt has helped make me wealthy
DW1 Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 Double it up. msgbox(0,"","""test""") I really don't like this syntax, as it makes it hard to read. With that being said, yes it does work fine, but using single and double quotes just looks a lot cleaner. AutoIt3 Online Help

Remembering single quotes uses up brain cells that I could reserve for killing through extracurricular activities.Lar. AutoIt has helped make me wealthy
Glyph Posted October 30, 2008 Posted October 30, 2008 (edited) I was forced to learn how to double up when I was making my AutoIt compiler (made in AutoIt), It's wayyy to confusing to use single quotes with 4-5 variables in the same line. But, that's my opinion. Edited October 30, 2008 by Glyph tolle indicium
MerkurAlex Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Another method probably not the best: chr(34)&"test"&chr(34)
Larry is a mass murderer?! It's always the quiet, clean cut, bald guys...
Glyph Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Another method probably not the best: chr(34)&"test"&chr(34) That's much more organized! tolle indicium
