Picture Delete Background

Hi

I want to make a script that does the following:

There are two images

one has an item in it

the other doesn't

they are both from the same camera at exactly the same spot

what i want to do is compare the two images

and have the script delete the background from the image that

has the item in it.

What is the best way to do this?
