TehWhale
Thanks for the link.my friend told me that older versions are faster!!!Then they're stupid. Newer versions have much more stuff, and lots of bug fixes. Theres no noticable difference in speed.
UltraFine
it means older versions are not faster and can perform as newer versions? he said "older versions are faster because they have less functions than newer."
rudi
Hi.my friend told me that older versions are faster!!!The only reason I could think of why you might want to use an older version is that you absolutely want to use the decompile feature:Then you will have to use Version 3.2.5.1 and earlier. Scripts compiled with later versions can only be decompiled by the Developers and some BlackHats so take care to backup your code carefully...Regards, Rudi. More functions is better. What if in the old versions they didn't have Opt()? What would you do? [sarcasm] Ah right, I wont upgrade to a newer version because its a millisecond slower. GEOSoft
Thanks for the link.my friend told me that older versions are faster!!!Your friend doesn't know his arse from a gopher hole. Here are some things about the older versions thoughThey DO support the 9x systems. They DO have much less functionality (in general) than current versionsThey ARE somewhat buggierMost current code (in the UDFs) won't run on themI could add more but by now you should have the idea. Read the decompiling FAQ and don't bother posting the question in the forums.Be sure to read and follow the forum rules. -AKA the AutoIt Reading and Comprehension Skills test.*** The PCRE (Regular Expression) ToolKit for AutoIT - (Updated Oct 20, 2011 ver:3.0.1.13) - Please update your current version before filing any bug reports. Administrators Jon Posted November 28, 2008 Administrators Share Posted November 28, 2008 The current version is loads faster than the previous versions. And the current beta version is even faster. We try to make each release roughly the same speed or faster. Now bigger, yes, new ones might be bigger Deployment Blog: https://www.autoitconsulting.com/site/blog/ SCCM SDK Programming: https://www.autoitconsulting.com/site/sccm-sdk/
