This kind of things makes many refuse to download an executable in this forum.

If you don't want provide the source it's your right, but don't lose the trust by the curiosity.

At least I think it's more valious.

I agree the video looks amazing, impressive AutoIt work, but there is no way I am downloading this if it sends screenshots to you, I have a lot of personal information on my desktop, my wallpaper, my MSN conversations which do have passwords on for my website members and not to mention my business stuff.

I personally don't care if someone doesn't trust me that does not give them the right to decompile I or any other developer's work without permission if you/someone don't trust him DO NOT use it

You should have mentioned before it is sending you a screenshot and info of the computer before releasing it but at least you were honest and its not excessive but you should make a new installer without this in it so some people will feel more secure.

decompiled & changed email to see how bad the email was after reading all of this

edit:The setup is obufasacated but the actual proggy isnt 0.o

The obufasacation cant be auto deobufasacated. I'll have to manually do it if i want the original src

So what's the take-home message from this?

(Obviously only my humble opinions)

- Don't post an exe unless you understand/accept that it will most likely be decompiled by someone... for good or ill.

- Don't run a program unless you trust the source fully... and don't whine if you decide to trust it and find that it does things you didn't expect.

- People don't appreciate having screen-shots sent away without their knowledge.

To end, I'd like to say that the video makes this look very nice. It's easy to tell that you spent a lot of time on this project and it turned out very nicely. Kudos.

By the way, TehWhale, your an idiot. It seems, at least on the surface of things (to me), that although somewhat misguided, the OP has his heart in the right place and spent a lot of time on this project. He offered it to the community and you're being a douchebag to him.

Literally, his main application is 91 lines long. From what I see it's just a few icons and a GUI. He offered it to the community with a form of "spyware" in it. That's why i'm a little upset.

I still use this program as it is great, I am just using a modified version provided by someone else.
