cuShane Posted January 31, 2009 Share Posted January 31, 2009 For some reason I can't get this to submit. here is the script I'm using: #include <IE.au3> $o_IE = _IECreate () _IENavigate ($o_IE, "http://htbackdrops.com/") sleep(5000) ; get pointers to the login form and username and password fields $o_form = _IEFormGetObjByName($o_IE, "custom_search") $o_search = _IEFormElementGetObjByName($o_form, "search") ; Set field values and submit the form _IEFormElementSetValue($o_search, "some band") sleep(500) _IEFormSubmit($o_form) Here is the form source: <form method="post" action="thumbnails.php" name="custom_search"> <input type="text" name="search" maxlength="255" value="" class="textinput" /> <input type="submit" value="Search" class="button" /> <input type="hidden" name="album" value="search" /> <input type="hidden" name="title" value="1" /> <input type="hidden" name="caption" value="1" /> <input type="hidden" name="keywords" value="1" /> <input type="hidden" name="owner_name" value="1" /> <input type="hidden" name="filename" value="1" /> <input type="hidden" name="type" value="AND" /> </form> "some band" is entered, but the form isn't submitted. PsaltyDS Posted January 31, 2009 Share Posted January 31, 2009 (edited) Read the remarks in the help file under _IEFormSubmit(). Get an object reference (i.e. $oButton) to the "Search" button and use _IEAction($oButton, "click") on it. Edit: Oops. Didn't see Dale was already there. cuShane Posted January 31, 2009 Author Share Posted January 31, 2009 Thank you both for pointing me in the right direction. I was able to use: $oSubmit = _IEGetObjByName($o_form, "Search") _IEAction ($oSubmit, "focus") ControlSend($o_IE, "", "[CLASS:Internet Explorer_Server; INSTANCE:1]", "{Enter}") Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
