Guest
Hi, I´d like to find various windows with WinExists. For each window, there might be a different (externally configurable) title match mode set. In my function, I set the WinTitleMatchMode to a valid value but it seems like it is not used: Func process_program($matchMode, $wintitle) AutoItSetOption("WinTitleMatchMode", $matchMode) If (WinExists($wintitle)) Then MsgBox(0, "Debug", "Window found!") EndIf EndFunc Instead, I discover the default behavior. Is it not possible to set the option within a function, can the option only be set once or am I just too stupid to rtfm? Thanks, Rob
Moderators Melba23 Posted February 3, 2009 Moderators Share Posted February 3, 2009 RobOtter, I have just tested your code and it works fine for me. Are you sure that you are matching the "mode" to the "section of title" you are looking for? I would also suggest that you save the previous mode when you set your new mode and then reset it afterwards:Func process_program($matchMode, $wintitle) $old_matchMode = AutoItSetOption("WinTitleMatchMode", $matchMode) If (WinExists($wintitle)) Then MsgBox(0, "Debug", "Window found!") EndIf AutoItSetOption("WinTitleMatchMode", $old_matchMode) EndFunc Otherwise you might end up wondering why window functions in the rest of your script do not work! Strangely enough, it also works for me today (where it wasn´t yesterday, without any changes afair) - must have been some freaky joke by Murphy I would also suggest that you save the previous mode when you set your new mode and then reset it afterwardsGood point, I will account for that. Thanks,Rob
