Sagal Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Hello Everyone I'm new to autoit.. I have just started playing aroudn with it today. I'm testing an application and I would like to automate a button press. I'm able to get the button to automaticaly get pressed by the SEND("{ENTER}") then a pop up menu shows up and I have to select yes or no and I SEND("{LEFT}{ENTER}") Problem im facing is I have to repeat this in a loop several times but after the initial pass the focus goes to another control and I think i need to find another way to automate this. So basically.... How do I put focus on a specific control.. Such as a tab that has text that says "Connection" and How do I set focus on a button in a application?

Moderators Melba23 Posted February 20, 2009 Moderators Posted February 20, 2009 Sagal,First, welcome to the AutoIt forums. As to your question: use the AutoIt Window Info tool to get some details of the control you want to activate and then use ControlClick. You can find details of how to use that command in the Help file.Reading the Help file (at least the first few sections - Using AutoIt, Tutorials and the first coouple of References) will help you enormously. You should also look at the excellent tutorials that you will find here and here.It always helps if you have had a go at solving your problems before posting here.
