jvanegmond Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Open a handle to the file, and don't close it. github.com/jvanegmond
lyx Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 ty very much That is very useful for a single file but I was hoping for something on a larger scale Like in order to kill the spread of a virus/trojan on a pc Thanks Alot LyX
jvanegmond Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 Hmmm... ProcessClose work for you? ^^ github.com/jvanegmond
lyx Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 The things is when they open multiple process and inject a dll into explorer then there is a bit of a problem The reason I'm thinking about this because I'm still at school and all of the flash-drives are virus infected I've also opted out of convention AVs because it delays system startup and the general irritation
Bert Posted February 27, 2009 Posted February 27, 2009 What it sounds like you really want to do is keep your flash drive from getting infected. My suggestion to you is to buy one with a write control switch. This would shut it off so the thing would not get infected. The Vollatran project My blog: http://www.vollysinterestingshit.com/
lyx Posted February 27, 2009 Author Posted February 27, 2009 (edited) The thing is its not only my flash drive I put in my computer ;P Anyway this isn't of very high importance I just thought it would be interesting and useful if it could be done P.S. I have also disabled autoruns just to be extra safe Edited February 27, 2009 by lyx
